Film został zrealizowany w Akrze, stolicy Ghany, gdzie znajduje się ogromne wysypisko odpadów. Ludzie nazywają to miejsce „Toxic City”. Z Europy i USA trafiają tu nielegalnie śmieci, głównie zużyty sprzęt elektrotechniczny oraz plastik. W prowizorycznych ogniskach mieszkańcy „Toxic City” palą stare lodówki, telewizory i komputery. W ten sposób udaje im się odzyskać niewielką ilość cennego metalu, który mogą sprzedać.
The film was shot in Accra, the capital of Ghana, where a huge landfill site is located. People call this place “Toxic City”. It is a place where waste, mainly used electrical equipment and plastic, is illegally disposed from Europe and the USA. In provisional bonfires the inhabitants of “Toxic City” burn old refrigerators, TV sets and computers. In this way they manage to recover a small amount of precious metal, which then they can sell.

Reżyser i montażysta filmowy. Absolwent Akademii Filmu i Telewizji oraz kursu reżyserii w Wajda School. Autor wielokrotnie nagradzanych teledysków i filmów dokumentalnych. Współpracował z fundacją „GPAS Praga Północ”, dla której prowadził warsztaty filmowe z trudną młodzieżą. Jego film dokumentalny „Amerykański sen” otrzymał nagrodę publiczności podczas 33. Warszawskiego Festiwalu Filmowego. „Amerykański sen” był również dystrybuowany w polskich kinach i znalazł się w zestawie najlepszych polskich filmów krótkometrażowych 2018.
A film director and editor. Graduate of the Academy of Film and Television and the directing course in Wajda School. He is an author of award-winning music videos and documentaries. He cooperated with the “GPAS Praga Północ” foundation, for which he conducted film workshops with troubled youth. His documentary film “American Dream” won the audience award at 33rd Warsaw Film Festival. “American Dream” was also distributed in Polish cinemas and was included in the set of the best Polish short films of 2018.
