Subtelnie opowiedziana historia o skomplikowanej relacji córki z ojcem. Córka wyrusza w podróż do ojca, który ją kiedyś odrzucił. Ojciec wpuszcza dziewczynę do swojego mieszkania, stara się odpowiedzieć na jej pytania, razem pochylają się nad listami, które przez lata do siebie pisali. Córka porządkuje świat ojca oraz swoją relację z nim. Pomiędzy bohaterami dochodzi do niełatwej konfrontacji. To film o ogromnej tęsknocie za ojcem i o akceptacji, że ta tęsknota nigdy nie zostanie zaspokojona.

A subtle story about a daughter’s complicated relationship with her father. The daughter takes a journey to visit her father, who once rejected her. The father lets the girl into his apartment, tries to answer her questions, and together they reflect on the letters they have written to each other over the years. The daughter tries to figure out her father’s world and her relationship with him. There is a difficult confrontation between the characters. This is a film about the immense longing for a father and the acceptance that this longing will never be satisfied.m.

Absolwentka scenopisarstwa w Szkole Filmowej w Łodzi, a także programów Script i Studio Prób Szkoły Wajdy. Na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim ukończyła studia magisterskie z zakresu filmoznawstwa. Jej krótkometrażowy film „Lila” prezentowany był na wielu festiwalach międzynarodowych na całym świecie i zdobył kilka nagród (m.in. Nagrodę Outstanding Selection na Kaohsiung Film Festival (Tajwan) i Nagrodę im. A. Dolaty dla najlepszego debiutu filmowego w Ann Arbor (USA)). „Dad You’ve Never Had” jest jej debiutem dokumentalnym.

Graduate of screenwriting at the Łódź Film School, as well as the Script and Rehearsal Studio programmes at the Wajda School. She completed her MA in film studies at the Jagiellonian University. Her short film „Lila” was presented at many international festivals around the world and won several awards (including the Outstanding Selection award at the Kaohsiung Film Festival (Taiwan) and the A. Dolata Award for best film debut in Ann Arbor (USA)). „Dad You’ve Never Had” is her documentary debut.
